The truest testimony to the accuracy and meaning of Allen Sapp's art is to be found in the depth of wisdom it provokes. As the elders reflect upon Sapp's memories of children living in hard working, deeply spiritual families… clear rivers flowing, upon a rich and abundant land… their hearts reveal words that speak to a wisdom known to themselves and their ancestors, a wisdom they will tell you has become more relevant and more urgent than ever before.

I started my healing journey a long time ago. I think paramount is going back to our beliefs, because if you don't believe how can you have faith in yourself in your capabilities in that's where faith, strength. Patience, all of those come in you have to believe in something first and I think that's where we have to go. And once you find out who you are your space in this vast creation and to except that, that's what alot of of people have a hard time dealing with to except your little space in this vast creation, because out of there comes humility respect for what's out there, because lightening could strike me and kill me you know all those things all the powers that are out there, so having excepted that things started going right for me you know especially the humility part and I've often said that what our beliefs are based on God's law is what we refer to in cree that how it transfers translates, some people would like to call it the law of averages, where everything evens out what you do to some else, somebody going to do that to you somewhere down the road. You know that's an honest everyday thing I've seen it you that's how our ancestors believed.

A lot of things I remember are lost.

With what Allen has portrayed in those pictures, something that was rich with in our lives that made it vital to our well being and everything like that, we valued life in our daily living and ah I still wish we had that.
