Allen Sapp Today
Allen Sapp moved to North Battleford, Saskatchewan in the early 60's
and has been a resident ever since. He continues to paint and loves to
participate in powwows as a men's traditional dancer. Now in his mid 70's
Sapp enjoys dropping into the gallery to meet visitors, especially children.
The art of Allen Sapp is always on display at the Galley. The exhibitions,
curated by Marcus Miller, change every six months. Allen remains active
as an artist and frequently has exhibitions in commercial galleries across
the country. There have been several books and television documentaries
about Allen's life and art. Mrs. Gonor, Dr. Gonors widow, is still a good
friend of Allen's and a continuing supporter of the gallery.
